I used to use Celly's in Swindon and am thinking of going back there. Celly's at Newbury is at best ok, the first time I went here my hair was cut by a young girl who didn't speak a word of English, after several attempts to ask her to cut away any dead hair I gave up and had a 'trim' that failed to do the job I wanted. 11 wasted. I went back a few weeks later, and had my hair cut by a lady who not only spoke English but gave me exactly what I wanted and my hair now looks as I wanted it to the first time I visited. I'm used to getting my hair washed before it is cut and this seems to not be provided unless you ask for it. The price has now gone up to 12, eventually Celly's will be the same price as everywhere else and their competitive edge will be lost.

Staff have always been friendly on my visits. Get the simple hair cut that I request. Be prepared to wait at busy times. No bookings required
Daughter has had her hair done here since her first haircut and I've always found it fine. Not great but, given the price, I've never had a reason to complain before. This time was ridiculous. I've never been to a hairdresser where they say their shampoo is not suitable for children or that having their hair washed depends on their height!
