If you want to know a bit more about Newbury's story , have a look over there . There's a small cafe also inside of the museum. When I visited it there was a painting exposition about a local artist , telly nice paintings .
The museum is so much better than it was in the past so if you haven't visited for a while go again. And the cafe is great too.
Had a very interesting display on the history of Greenham common. Also had a photographer taking your pictures in Flying jackets so it looked as if you were a spirit pilot. Great fun.
A lovely place to spend an hour or two. There is an excellent display of coin hoards and the dressing up was great fun. It's very well laid out and there are some nice interactive exhibits.
Really good experience. We all (2 grandparents, an 8 yr and 14 year old) found everything not only educational but super interesting. Lots to see and read and very engaging. Also no entrance fee which was a lovely surprise.
