Love this place! It's amazing for family days out. Has public loos and picnic tables with bbq. Kids can build their own dens! Great!
Great place to visit for all the family. If you don't like getting too dirty there are plenty of hard footpaths. Free to enter and park. Also see the wild ponies grazing to help with the conservation of this heathland.
Great place for walking dogs. In the summer barbecues are allowed as well. Good for taking bikes and young children. Need to be a bit careful of the wild horses, though. Lots of wildlife.
It is tranquil, clean and quiet a lovely place to walk.There is a 'special' tree which children can explore in a climb, even adults have given it a go.There are picnic tables provide which leans to a whole day adventure, altogether along with space for rounders .We are so very lucky to have Snelsmore.On saying that, my grandson is highly alergic to animal hair so we have to keep alert to see where the ponies are, a small down side but and edge to spoil what can be a great day.
The Common is a good place for dog walking or picnicking. It can get busy in and around the car park during the summer but you only have to walk a little way and you can give peace and quiet. There are accessable paths suitable for wheelchairs and push chairs. There are footpaths leading or of the common which are great for longer walks.
