Gardner Leader used to be our first choice solicitor as they are local and the service has been friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. I would imagine in most things you would engage them for you would be happy. However, having said that, we approached them for business conveyancing which they were happy to take on but the quotes suggested were MASSIVELY inflated over what other solicitors would offer. In one case quoting 12,000 where other recommended solicitors were between 2000 and 2500. In another case quoted 2000 for what we paid someone else 150. One reason for such inflated figures usually is that they don't want the business. In this case I don't believe that to be the case as they were quite willing to engage with us. I believe that they are just ignorant of what is required and taking on work that they are not adequately cut out to complete. Again, I would reiterate that when we have used them previously for other things we have been impressed
